There are numerous activities in the Western NC mountains to make your visit as enjoyable as any vacation holiday you have experienced in the past.
If you like hiking, the Appalachian Trail is accessible from Hot Springs, and there are various trail-heads located a short driving distance away. There are also lots of places right here on the property to hike and view the wildlife.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is the longest National Park in the US federal park system. It runs from Virginia to North Carolina.
There are numerous waterfalls within a day trip of your cabin.
Mountain biking trails are nearby.
The Great Smokey Mountains National Park, the most visited national park in the country, is near the Eastern Cherokee Indian Reservation about a 90 minute drive from your cabin.
There is access to fishing in front of the cabins on the French Broad River, and there are many others in the immediate area of the cabins and Hot Springs, NC.
There are also several nice golf courses throughout the area.
There are several places to go horseback riding, such as Sandy Bottom Trail Rides near Marshall, Big Pine Ranch also near Marshall, Wolf Laurel Stables off of I-26, The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, and llama trekking at English Mountain Llama Trekking near Max Patch. All are located within a short drive from your cabin.
There are a few local rafting companies around the Hot Springs area. There is Blue Heron Whitewater and French Broad Rafting Expeditions, both of which are located in Marshall. In addition, there is Hot Springs Rafting located in Hot Springs.
